Remeber Phil taking us on a detour through Paris City Centre at 3am to show Emma the Arc De Triomphe.
 
After we parked up for some photos nobody had a clue how to get out of town to the motorway. I opened my trusty road atlas of Europe and found Paris. Then I plotted a route out of the town, along the Seine, through a few tunnels and then to the motorway. I handed the map to Degsy my co-driver and total piss head. And off we went. . . . .  
 
The roads were empty and we were barreling along. 15 mins later we were on the motorway and we stopped to fill up. Everyone came up and congratulated me on finding such a quick route out of town. It was then that we noticed that The map of Paris was actually a map of MILAN???? Don't ask! ???

My Mate Degsy
 
I did the Italian Job three times. The second time I did it I took Degs as my co-driver.  It was the most memorable.  
He was the worst navigator, in the world. Although he did manage to direct us out of Paris using a street map of Milan!!!
He also managed to save my life quite literally. . . But that's another story.  
He died in his sleep last week. He was found by his wife, Sue, when she returned home from work.
He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
